Todorov
Todorov is a bulgarian structurist who suggested that stories begin with an equilibrium/status quo, this means that it starts with everything being as it should be. There is then a disruption called the disequilibrium. The problems are eventually solved and a new equilibrium is made. His theory describes narrative as circular and not linear however the equilibrium at the beginning is not the same as the end one.
Levi-Strauss
Levi observed that everyone makes sense of people with the Binary opposition. He thought that there were always opposing characters such as Hero vs Coward and Good vs Evil. It is where one side of the pair always seemed to be valued by society more than the other.
